The channel is wide and the surrounding tissue moves constantly. A thin ring behaves like a wire and cuts through from the inside.

What is on this page

Circulars and rings in the largest diameters we have, 14–19 mm. The form and diameter are right for a PA; the gauge is not. We do not recommend them as a substitute.

Healing

Faster than it looks: 4–8 weeks. Noticeable bleeding in the first days is expected, not a complication.

Size and material

Material	316L steel — 5 models. Cheaper, corrosion-resistant, suitable for a healed piercing. For the first jewellery titanium is the better choice. Titanium — 2 models. Contains no nickel, so it causes no reaction even in a fresh piercing. Lighter than steel — less load on the tissue. The material of first choice.
Thickness	1.2 mm — 6 models, 0.8 mm — 3 models, 1 mm — 2 models. The thickness must match the one the piercing was made with.
Bar length	8 mm — 7 models, 10 mm — 6 models, 6 mm — 6 models, 12 mm — 2 models. A longer bar is needed while the swelling lasts, a shorter one — for a healed piercing.
Ring diameter	10 mm — 7 models, 12 mm — 7 models, 8 mm — 7 models, 16 mm — 6 models. A smaller diameter sits tighter, a bigger one — looser and more visible.
Thread	Threadless — 3 models, External — 3 models, Internal — 1 model. An internal thread is hidden inside the bar — it does not scratch the channel when changing.
