How to choose
Cubic zirconia is a synthetic stone. In hardness it is second only to a few natural stones, so it does not cloud or scratch from daily wear.
Size and material

FAQ
Are cubic zirconia and zirconium the same thing?
Cubic zirconia is a crystal of zirconium dioxide, often just called «CZ». Natural zircon is a different mineral and is not used in piercing.
Can the cubic zirconia fall out of its setting?
The stone is held by the setting: in a prong setting by claws, in a bezel setting by a rim of metal. It falls out when a claw has been bent back by catching the jewellery on clothes. Checking is easy: press the stone with a fingernail — it must not move. Better wash with a soft brush and soap, because lymph and cosmetics collect in the setting.
